Laying there, with Nova’s head on his chest and her leg wrapped over his, he had never felt a more complete peace. He didn’t even mind that Dominic was in the bed, too. Aaron’s wolf keened at having Nova in his arms.
He pretended to be asleep when Dominic woke up and snuck out of the room. The reality had been that Aaron needed to do the same thing.
