Dominic pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation as he processed everything Colby had just admitted. “I can’t believe you brought her to him.”
“She wanted me to!” he whisper-yelled. “Besides, I want my friend to be as loved as she deserves to be, and it’s not like you were making a move on her.”
“Why would I make a move on her?” Dominic asked.
“Oh, please,” Colby said, rolling his eyes. “You can pull that whole I-swear-I’m-not-head-over-heels-in-love-with-you s**t in front of Nova, but I’m a dude. I know when another dude is pining after someone.”
Dominic reeled back. Other than Colby’s interview to be Nova’s swimming instructor, this might be the longest conversation they’d ever had. Colby was significantly more familiar with him this time.
