Chapter 4

“Hey, why don’t we change and go grab a drink while we wait for the guys to show up?” I ask Rose as we drop our purses onto the bed of the hotel room.

“Yes! That sounds great. Plus, the music they are playing has me ready to dance!” Rose exclaims. 

I walk over to my suitcase and grab out my black crop top and some gray leggings and slip them on. 

“What are you wearing?” Rose questions. 

“What? We are going to be watching movies. Plus, it looks cute. Doesn’t it?” Her facial expression causes me to question my choice of attire.

“Of course, it’s cute. But, you have two gorgeous men coming to your hotel room. Do you want to look cute or sexy?” She shrugs her shoulders before turning around and slipping on a short purple dress that is thin enough to leave little to the imagination. 

I walk into the bathroom and look over myself in the mirror. Yeah, it’s simple and a little more relaxed but I think I look good. My tanned skin is glowing from being under the sun all day. My clothes hug my curves perfectly without revealing the whole package underneath. I decided she might be onto something though so I grab some lipgloss and eyeliner and apply a small amount of each to my face just to accent my favorite features. I tousle my hair and leave it down on the back of my neck. Then head back into the room with Rose. 

“You look hot!” Rose praises as I walk out. “No one is going to be able to resist you.” 

“Thanks.” I shyly respond. 

After getting our drinks from the bartender, we make our way onto the dance floor. I feel slightly buzzed as my hips sway back and forth around the dance floor. Rose on the other hand has been taking shot after shot. I’m not sure how she is going to even make it through a movie. There are a few other people dancing beside us but overall the hotel bar is pretty empty. I feel sweat starting to bead on my skin as my pulse quickens with each song that plays. Rose touches my back to let me know she is done dancing and walks over to the bar. My eyes follow her and see Jordan and Cody walking up to meet her. 

“Grab a couple of drinks to catch.” Rose yells over the music. “Then we can head up to the hotel room and order room service.” 

Rose walks over and brings me a shot to take with her. I downed the shot and handed her back the glass. When I look back towards the bar I see Cody leaning against the bar and his attention is on me dancing. I continue dancing while never breaking eye contact with him. I can see the fire in his eyes from across the room. I feel completely high from the way he is examining my body. 

“Ready to go upstairs?” Jordan says, loud enough for all of us to hear.

“Yeah.” Cody cooly responds to Jordan. 

“Yes! I need food!” Rose laughs as she grabs ahold of Jordan’s arm. 

“Yeah, I’m coming.” I tell them all as they wait for me to catch up. 

Upstairs I fall onto the bed to remove my shoes as Rose calls in everyone’s food orders. While waiting for the food to arrive we put on Netflix and started the movie. Jordan and Rose cozy up on the reclining chair together. Cody stays seated at the small table near the window. I fluff the pillows on the bed to create a large cushion for me to collapse on. Dinner arrives shortly and once everyone is done eating Jordan turns off the lights and joins Rose back on the chair. 

“Cody.” I say, causing everyone to look in my direction. “You don’t have to sit at the table all night. This bed is huge. You are welcome to sit over here so you are more comfortable.” 

“Ok.” He says, standing up from the table and slowly making his way to the bed.

I scoot over to one side of the bed and pull the covers over my cool skin. I don’t make it ten minutes before I have drifted off to sleep. After a few hours, I wake up and notice Cody is lying next to me passed out but Rose and Jordan are nowhere to be seen. I get up as quietly as possible to check around the room to make sure they haven’t snuck off somewhere to get some. Once, I see no sign of them or their belongings. I climb back onto the bed and gently place my hand on Cody’s arm to wake him. 

He stirs underneath my touch, “yeah?” He asks while still sleep dazed.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you up. I just wondered if you knew where Jordan and Rose went to?” I ask.

Cody rubs his eyes remembering where he is at. “Oh, I don’t know. Let me check my phone.” 

There is nothing but silence as he grabs his phone and unlocks it.

“Jordan left me a text saying they went back to Rose’s apartment.” He rubs his eyes again before sitting up against the headboard. “I’ll call an uber to come grab me so you can get back to sleep.” 

I lean over him to look at the clock. “It’s already three in the morning. You might as well just stay.” 

“Are you sure? I can grab an uber, it’s no big deal.” Cody questions.

“It’s fine, really. Rose and Jordan will probably be back first thing in the morning. We might as well get a few more hours of sleep in.” I reassure him. 

“Ok.” Cody says placing his phone back on the table next to the bed. 

As soon as he slides back down the bed. I notice I have all the covers wrapped around me and throw some across him. The room is completely black other than the dimmed light coming in from the city streets. I am completely awake as I feel the warmth off his body. I stay laying on my side facing the opposite direction of him but I can hear his deep breaths in the quiet room.

“Callie.” Cody says barely over a whisper.

I roll over, almost colliding into him. “Yes.” I let out a small giggle before his lips touched mine.

His kisses are hesitant at first. Slow and soft, making sure I wanted it too. Every time he pulls his lips slightly away from mine, there is a tingling sensation left in their wake. I can’t seem to get enough of the feeling as I open my mouth allowing access for his tongue to slip inside. Our bodies drift together until they are completely touching. My hands move through his hair as our kisses turn deeper to lust. He breaks our connection allowing his lips to travel down my neck. I tilt my head back in response. I have been dreaming about his plump lips on my body all day. Our breath is hot and uncontrolled, as we get lost in the moment. His fingers crawl down my stomach until they reach the bottom of my crop top. He stares into my eyes while waiting for approval. I lean up, lifting my arms allowing him the access to remove my shirt before laying back on the bed. His eyes scan over my bra down towards my leggings, admiring my body. He leaves a few heated kisses along my neck before his lips tease mine. 

“Fuck.” He spills out.

“Cody…” I struggle to say.

“Yeah?” he breathes out.

“Hey.” I place my hands on the sides of his face. He kisses me one more time before laying back on his side.

“Time to get some sleep.” He states as if reading my thoughts.
