Sarah's encounter with Zach had left her on edge. She knew that she couldn't let her guard down, not with her secret at stake. She spent the next few days keeping a low profile, avoiding contact with humans as much as possible.
But despite her caution, Sarah couldn't help but feel restless. She missed the freedom of her human life, the ability to move through the world without fear of discovery. She wondered if she would ever be able to fully embrace her werewolf identity, or if she would always feel torn between two worlds.
One night, as she lay in her den, Sarah heard a commotion in the distance. She stood up, her ears pricked up, and she sniffed the air. The scent was familiar, and she recognized it immediately: it was the scent of another werewolf.
Sarah felt a surge of excitement. She had never met another werewolf before, and she was eager to make contact. She followed the scent through the woods, her heart racing with anticipation.
As she approached a clearing, Sarah saw a figure emerge from the shadows. It was a large, muscular werewolf, with shaggy fur and piercing yellow eyes.
Sarah approached him cautiously, unsure of what to expect. The other werewolf growled at her, but didn't attack. Instead, he circled her, sizing her up.
"What do you want?" he snarled.
"I...I just wanted to meet you," Sarah said, her voice trembling.
The other werewolf chuckled. "Meet me? You're a strange one, aren't you?"
Sarah felt a surge of anger. Who was this werewolf to judge her? She bared her teeth, ready to defend herself.
But before she could attack, the other werewolf spoke again.
"Relax, little one," he said, his tone softer now. "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to offer you a place in my pack."
Sarah was taken aback. She had never considered joining another pack before.
"I don't know," she said, hesitating.
The other werewolf stepped closer to her, his eyes intense.
"Think about it," he said. "You'll have a place to belong, a family to protect you. You won't have to live in fear of discovery anymore."
Sarah considered his offer. It was tempting, but she couldn't help but feel wary. She didn't know this werewolf, and she didn't know if she could trust him.
"I'll have to think about it," she said finally.
The other werewolf nodded. "Fair enough. But don't wait too long. You never know when danger might come knocking."
With that, he disappeared into the darkness, leaving Sarah alone with her thoughts.
As she made her way back to her den, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling of unease. She knew that she had a big decision to make, and she didn't know if she was ready to make it yet. But one thing was for sure: her life as a werewolf was about to get a lot more complicated.
