REGRETS

204 Words
By a soliloquizing soul They were all pained by the moving away. The moving away of you and I. They all felt the absence. But the tougher the heart, The easier it was to accept it. Or so I was taught. You speak in parables, Of words, I do not understand. You speak in parables, Of images. I can not begin to fathom. You speak in parables, A myriad of words I can not afford to comprehend. Your words are high fly high, The weight is low, far low. The repercussions cut deep, like an undieing wound. The promises you whispered hunts me, In a bid for redemption, I sort it all out. I sort to clear the plague you unleashed. I sort to remove the sword that lodges deep inside. You wicked soul. Your selfishness burdens you. Your greed to be always right weighs you down. Your deceitful words speak for your rotten soul. You seek to be understood but do not understand. The double standards crash your boat. For you never heard me For you never heard my plea For you never heard my sincerity Don’t sink to the ground just yet. If the sky speaks for me, Your pain awaits you.
