"Yeah, my other half is back" I couldn't help myself. I just had to greet him first and then I gave him a slap on the shoulder "Don't you dare leave me again for 2years". Luke shook his head while laughing. "Oh, how I've missed that laugh" mom came hugging Luke which felt like an eternity. Dad did the honor of introducing Luke's friend. "Lyla, this is Tyler. Tyler this is Ria and the one holding on to Luke for dear life is his mother" Dad said winking. "Nice to meet you, welcome to our little paradise" I said waving my hand in the air. Wow, I just had to take a moment to appreciate Tyler's green eyes with his dark messy hair complementing that beautiful smile. He is about 5 inches taller than Luke and Luke takes pride in being a head taller than me and of course he will be born 7minutes prior.
When entering the house Ria took Tyler's vanity and indicated for him to follow. How can one person be so satisfying for the eye, even from behind?

Walking through the front door the house welcomes you with a big family portrait. Through the foyer you can see the living room themed with proteas. I also noticed the pool outside. I follow Ria up the stairs passing a few closed doors to the guest room. On the bed there is a set of towels rolled up with a lindt chocolate placed on the pillow. The room is beach themed which creates a relaxed atmosphere. "I'll leave you to unpack, Mrs Beverley will be serving brunch outside by the pool." Ria left me to unpack. As usual I traveled light. Not having much to unpack and wanting to give the family some time alone I opened the door to the patio. I took a minute to breathe in the salty air. I loved the smell of the ocean. Even though I couldn't see it from the patio I could still hear it. I noticed that all the rooms on this side were leading out to the joined patio.

While the "boys" settled in I helped mom and Ria set the table outside for brunch. I was excited to have everyone I love around one table again and getting to know this new friend. Luke and Tyler joined us outside and we spent the afternoon catching Luke up about all the news. He and Tyler told us so many stories from everything they've told us I could tell that Luke enjoyed his time there but was also glad to be home. Tyler excused himself and went up to his room to rest. Mom and I dished off the table while Luke and Dad went inside to the living room. Mom and I started prepping the toppings for the pizza. Mom wanted us to make all of Luke's favorites. Having both her chicks under one roof made her happy. Mom joined the men in the living room while I made some coffee. Being the coffee snob I am, I prefer to make the coffee in the house. This way I could make sure we had some decent coffee.
Tyler came down the stairs as I was putting down the tray with four cups of coffee. "Hope you got some rest. I'll go make you some coffee. I just brewed a fresh pot." Tyler stood there scratching his head as if he was about to say something but didn't know how to. I was just about to assure him that I made the best coffee before Luke jumped in "No worry sis, Ty doesn't drink coffee." I was shocked "Who doesn't drink coffee?" Tyler raised his hand and everyone laughed except me. I wasn't about to let him miss out on my excellent coffee making skills, this was my chance to impress this man. "No, you can't say you don't drink coffee, but haven't tasted mine yet" Luke and Tyler gave each other this look."Please let me make you one cup, you don't have to drink it all just at least taste it."

This girl wasn't going to give up easily and with the looks on everyone's faces just confirming it. "Alright, I'll give it a try." I couldn't believe the excitement one person could have over making one cup of coffee if I haven't seen it myself. Lyla was jumping up and down clapping hands shouting "Yeah!" I stood up and laughed, "But I just have to see what the excitement is all about, I'm going with you." I indicated for the walk ahead. Walking through the double swing door to the kitchen I could smell the coffee. Just the smell of me was enough to spark a little bit of excitement in me. I was about to drink the first cup of coffee in four years and I didn't give up because I was drinking too much, I just didn't seem to like it. Yet here I was as excited as a child opening a Christmas gift. I watched her making the coffee. According to me she was doing it the wrong way around. Putting in the sugar even before the coffee. She then added the frosted milk and topped what was left of the glass mug with coffee. "How do you know whether I like sweet or bitter coffee?" I asked to see her reaction. "Well, according to you, you don't drink coffee which means you don't know how you would drink it. By the way I don't believe it should be too sweet because it's not a dessert and it shouldn't be bitter either, it's meant to be enjoyed." She said winking at me, confirming her confidence in her answer. She handed me the mug and I hesitated before I took a sip. She looked at me waiting for a response. I didn't even have to like it. "Wow, okay! You weren't exaggerated. This is really good." "Told ya, come on let's go." I took one more sip before following her back into the living room. "And what do you think?" Mr Jack asked. I was about to ask about which one, because I really enjoyed the taste of this coffee and watching Lyla make it. "It's really good." I looked at Lyla smiling. Something about Lyla was different from other girls, but whatever it was I knew I had to be careful. First of all I was leaving in a few days to visit my parents and I wasn't finished with doctors without borders yet.
