The conversation was so strange to me. Thane brought up a topic that seemed utterly absurd. Especially considering I’ve spent my life amidst the suffering of those in power. The dark world Thane described to me was something I had never even heard of in passing.
Thane was so serious in explaining who he really was and who his group was. Meanwhile, I, as the listener, could only feel confused. Logically, this all seemed like a fairy tale from the old days. Not something that could happen in real life—was he making a joke?
