At one of the tables, a couple could be seen chatting intimately. They appeared very close, discussing something—though it was unclear what. The woman’s face radiated happiness, with a smile and joy that made anyone watching think she was truly content.
However, amidst this closeness, the man’s expression suddenly hardened, especially as Liam approached them. The man became wary, displaying a posture ready to defend. Liam arrived with a woman following behind him, making Thane even more cautious. He warned Elinor not to make any sudden movements. Thane's warning made Elinor anxious; her body trembled, and her heart raced.
“Thane, is he right behind me now?” Elinor asked nervously.
“Hmm, don’t be afraid. I’m here, Elin. You don’t need to worry,” Thane tried to keep Elinor calm.
