I was surprised to find Thane in the car. My body was frozen in place in front of the door, while Thane looked at me, tilting his head. My eyes blinked a few times as I tried to process what I was seeing.
“Thane?” I called his name, and Thane looked back at me.
“Get in, or do you plan to stand there forever?” Thane asked me, still frozen in my current position.
“Why are you here? Didn’t you have work this morning?” Instead of answering, I asked Thane a question.
