DRACO'S POV
I watched Noel from across the table the entire time we were at the bar. The team was loud and celebrating the win, slapping each other on the back and ordering round after round.
I had a few beers myself but I stayed mostly in control like I always did. Noel, on the other hand, was drinking way more than he should have.
I noticed it early. He kept finishing beers quickly and his cheeks were flushed. His long blonde hair had come a little loose from the tie he usually kept it in and strands stuck to his neck. He looked different tonight, softer around the edges, less guarded. I told myself it was just the alcohol but something about it kept pulling my attention back to him.
