Within a few minutes they had arrived at their apartment.
" Go and freshen up, while l order your attire" August told Mia
" It's already seven , only an hour left before your date , so hurry up " August urged her
" Fine ...oh and l need a black long strapless dress and pair it with very high black heels, l might as well just scare off the poor guy with my look, no word needed" Mia smiled as she rushed into the bathroom
August made sure that Mia had locked the door to the bathroom. She went into the kitchen and prepare some refreshments for both of them
She put some sleeping tablets in Mia's. In case Mia planned on running away. She might as well drag a sleeping Mia to the date rather than having her not showing up at all.
Mia's outfit arrived just before she finished bathing and August brought it to her.
" Ummmm l smell good right" Mia strolled towards August
" Can you smell my scent ?" she asked mischievously
" Ewe ... l feel like vomiting, are you sure you are coming from the bath. There sure won't be any need to chase your date away. The scent will do that for you" August retorted
" I hate you"
" Me more Mama Mia ...me more" August replied triumphantly. She handed her outfit and waited for her in the kitchen
A couple of minutes passed and Mia had not appeared from her room
' Something is up' August thought
'has she escaped? '
August rushed to Mia's room . The window was wide open and the room was empty
'That little sly queen !'
August rushed to the window and behold,
" And the sly queen is out here " August could not help but sneer
" You do know that you can jump down there like you were planning and well..." she slowly quietened then continued
" And chances of a person surviving that jump are well... zero... there are no chances of a person surviving that fall . Mia we are on the fifteenth floor for crying out loud"
"But still you can jump ... go on ... should l call 911 in advance ? l could do that for you, you know right ?"
August turned away from the balcony. She knew there was no way Mia was going to jump from that balcony. Yes she was crazy, but not to that extent.
Minutes later a defeated Mia walked into the kitchen. She was now wearing the outfit for her date.
" Oh did you change your mind ? " August asked sarcastic
"Oh did you change your mind ...as if" Mia mimicked her words.
August handed her the refreshments that she had put the sleeping pills.
If this sly was planning on pulling another stunt then she would be busted. August thought silently. She did not realize that Mia was looking at her.
Mia cleared her throte and was about to take her first bite then stopped halfway
" What ?" August looked at Mia who was holding the folk halfway to her mouth.
" What did you put in my food ?" Mia asked her
" Again, What ? " August feigned innocence
Mia quietly looked at her
" Fine l did it "
" You were also planning on running away were you not ?" August replied
Mia sighed
Let's just get this date thing done.
