Two Weeks Away

"What ? "Mia demanded
"l thought you said thirty minutes, don't tell me you fell for him already" Over the phone August was laughing out loud
" Did he make you suddenly believe?" August continued.
"You are a waste of energy " Mia said and hung up.
She had thought that August's call was something's urgent. Seemed that she had only called to start war with her .
She took the elevator to the ground floor where they had parked the car.
There was no car in sight. She looked everywhere bt she couldn't find it.
'Oh wait , August!' she groaned in her mind .
She took out her phone and dialed August's number . The phone rang unanswered until it disconnected. She knew August never went anywhere without her cellphone, even in the toilet.
Mia groaned and kicked one of the pillars in the parking lot,
"You sly fox!!! Wait till l get hold of you!" She realized that some people were looking at her as if she had lost it
She started dancing slowly and slowly converting her words to a melody , until people passed .
"August!!" She screamed once more .
She dialed August's number again . This time the call was answered .
"Who is this ?" August's voice came through
"Oh hohoho August you are asking me who lam , August!!" Mia was very frustrated. She did not have any money on her.She had left her daily earning at home before coming for the date .That meant that she could not get a cab.
There was silence on the other end of the phone .Mia also kept quiet breathing heavily.
" Stranger did you call to just scream at me ?" August was not budging
" August will you bear the consequences of what you are doing?" Mia's shouted
"I will cut this call"August finally said
"Hey , wait listen..." The call was already cut.
Mia sighed loudly . This was gonna be a very long night .
There was only one way out of this ,
Going home on foot.
Mia pulled her determined face on and started walking along the main road .
Maybe there was a reason why she had to walk home , Mia suddenly thought. Maybe today was the day. She smiled and continued walking with a smile on her face . She could clearly see the enchanting scene playing in her mind . Her prince charming would pull over in a black Rolls-Royce . He would remove his jacket and put it over her and look her in her eyes and say
" Are you o..." Her imagination screeched to a stop as a car passed by and splashed mud all over her clothes.
"Are you kidding me!!" Mia screamed out loud
"Now how can l attract my prince charming with all this dirt!!!" She shouted again .
The road was empty and very quiet.
She was starting to get tired. She took out her phone and dialled August's number again.
She answered immediately
" Fine l surrender , name your price "
"Two weeks away"She replied in one breath
"You are greedy!"Mia said
"Then you , as a very selfless person , will continue walking home ."
Mia sighed . She never liked it when August wanted to leave for a while . At the same time , she was very tired of walking. And she had not even reached halfway. It was already around ten .
"Fine "She finally wilded
"Say the words Mia " August was not gonna be cheated this time around. The last time She wanted to go away Mia had turned back on her words demanding evidence that she dad agreed . So this time she was not going to be played .
"I promise to let you go for those two weeks you want , happy now?" Mia said , seating down on a tree stump beside the road .
" Good , now where are you " August asked .
Mia looked at her surroundings ,
"I don't know " she said after a while
"Are you kidding me right now "August shouted
"Actually no , l really don't know where lam " Mia still replied
August sighed loudly
"Fine keep your phone on , so that l can track your location.
Within ten minutes, August pulled dover ,
"Get your lazy self inside "
She shouted through the open window
"l don't think l can stand up, l am too tired "
Mia replied showing her puppy eyes to August
"Then goodnight " August replied as she started the car
" Wait , wait ,lam coming " Mia quickly jumped to her feet and got into the car . She knew August would not hesitate to leave her here again. After all she had plans . She wanted to make August pay for leaving her at the hotel. But as soon as she sat in the car , she dozed off.
