My emotions were all over the place as Giovanni stood in front of me. This was the least of things I was expecting to see and I immediately felt all sorts of emotions; anger, irritation, fear, and anxiety rose within me. My heart raced, trying to comprehend why he was here when Shelly was meant to have had an accident.
I struggled to calm my nerves, my hands trembling slightly as I demanded, "Where is Shelly?" The words came out sharper than intended but I don't even care about any of that. I looked around frantically, but there still wasn't any sight of her.
