‘I didn’t know.’ Licking her lips nervously, Sarah said, ‘We weren't able to meet at your mother’s party the previous evening.’
‘You certainly didn't miss out on very much,’ Dom dismissed brutally.
‘Just like you, I'm certain that when he's not angry, he is probably a very nice man,’ she said.
His eyes were furious. ‘Yes, Danny can be nice when he wants to. Did you find yourself becoming attracted to him?’ he demanded hotly.
Sarah gasped in shock. ‘Of course not!’
‘Why not?’ Slamming his empty glass down on the table, he said, ‘He’s a strapping young man...and unattached too!’
‘Ah yes, he’s unattached,’ she mocked as she watched the anger take over his body. ‘Maybe you should introduce the two of us some other time when he's less angry. How about that?’
