Merissa had been so caught up with everything that Jim had discovered that she had immediately gotten down to work on this discovering everything and had no time to talk to anyone or even apologize to Jim about her harshness.
It was only after they had sorted out the most of the mess that they had both sat back in her office while Merissa had felt swarmed with guilt for letting this happen for so long in her father's company, his love, and his dying wish for her to take care of. She felt like she had not only her employees let down but also her father down too.
"How could I have let this happen, Jim?" She asked.
