The Missing Gems

Morning before New Investigation

When Andrew walked into the office he saw Chloe at her desk with files all over and her face buried in he saw white board with more question than answers.

"What are you working on?" Andrew said as he bent down to read what she was reading

"Mornin, I found a case I want to work on." she said excitedly to him

"I see that"he said as he picked up a file from her desk. Chloe walked over and took the file from him.

"Your copy is on your desk." she said

He walked to over to his desk. " I see your prepared"

"yep" she said with a smile

"What time did you leave the office yesterday?" he asked

"11" she answered

" What time did you get in?"

" 6" she said as she looked around the office was still kind of empty.

" I tried calling you yesterday" she said trying to start the conversation they both knew they needed to have.

" I was with the twins plus it was a day off"

"I didn't need to talk to you about work, and you know it"

" Then why are you trying to have it at work" he asked getting upset

"Fine" she said getting back to work

Chloe went to the break room to get coffee when she was on her way back she ran into the director Morgan Jefferson.

" Chloe" he said

"yes"

" I need you and Andrew in my office"

"okay" she said as she walked to her desk

"Andrew, Director Jefferson wants us in his office"

"What did you do?" he asked

"nothing" she said " that I can remember she mumbled the last part to her self.

They reached the Directors office and Andrew knocked on the door.

"come in" his deep powerful voice commanded

" We found our first case" Chloe told him

This would be the first case in their new division that was specifically designed for cold cases.

"Do they follow the guidelines that you received?" He asked

"yes" Andrew answered this time

Andrew handed the Director a copy of the first report.

He read the basics out loud

"Bree Benson, reported missing 11 years ago, abducted from in front of her house, the 12 year anniversary of the abduction is coming up."

"yes, it is" Chloe said

" I want you done with it after the anniversary hits do I make my self clear" He asked looking directly at Chloe

'What if we just need a bit more time?" she asked

" I just want you to remember that you cant solve them all"he said looking into her wide green eyes. Her long red curly hair was in a messy bun. Chloe had freckles that covered most of her face. Chloe was really passionate about her job.She didn't believe in lost causes and tried to solve every case she came across. Her passion is also what gets her into a lot of trouble.

Breaking the awkward silence two agents walked right into the office.

"Andrew, Chloe this is Mikel Weatherly, and Sabrina Levettly" The each held their hand up as the Dir ector said their name.

Sabrina had dirty blond hair, chocolate brown eyes, and a wide toothy grin. Mikel on the other hand had black hair, angry blue eyes,and angry expression that looked permanent on his face.

While the Director continued to talk Chloe paid him very little attention. Instead she compared Andrew and Mikel. Both were

very handsome each and there own way. Andrew had a dark brown hair that could be mistaken for black. Andrew. brown eyes weren't guarded like Mikel's and Andrew hair was neat where Mikel looked like he had just woken up.

When Chloe started paying attention again the Director was dismissing them.
