Aria turned before the system could settle again. “We don’t hold the line anymore.” Lucian’s gaze sharpened. “Then what?” A beat. “We move it.” Rune blinked. “You want to move the boundary now? Of course you do.” Aria didn’t argue. She stepped forward past where the pressure had been into the space just inside the edge. Her core pulsed. Not outward. Lateral. The boundary responded. Not resisting this time adjusting. Sliding. Like a surface that could be repositioned instead of defended. Lucian felt it immediately. “…It’s shifting.” Aria nodded. “If they’re bypassing fixed points, we stop having fixed points.” Rune let out a low whistle. “So now they can’t aim at anything.”
