Act 2, Scene 1
(We see the man sitting alone in a crowded café, surrounded by chatter and laughter. He looks lost in his thoughts, staring blankly at the table in front of him.)
Man: (to himself) Even in a crowd, I still feel alone. It's like I'm invisible, just a ghost passing through the lives of others. How did I let myself become so isolated?
(He looks around, watching as couples and friends interact with each other, feeling a pang of longing in his heart.)
Man: (whispering) I miss the days when I had someone to share my thoughts and dreams with. When I had a shoulder to lean on, a hand to hold. Now, all I have are memories of a past life that feels like a distant dream.
(Suddenly, a familiar face approaches his table - it's his old friend, Mark.)
Mark: John! I can't believe it's you. What are you doing here all alone?
Man: (surprised) Mark? I...I didn't expect to see you here. I've been feeling so isolated lately, lost in my own thoughts.
Mark: (sitting down) I can tell. You've been carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. But you don't have to do it alone, my friend. I'm here for you, just like old times.
Man: (tearfully) Thank you, Mark. I've missed having someone to talk to, to share my burdens with. I don't want to be alone anymore.
Mark: (smiling) You won't be. We're in this together, remember? Friends don't let friends be alone.
(They clasp hands, sharing a moment of understanding and connection amidst the bustling café.)
(Curtain falls)
