CHAPTER EIGHT Reaching Sunday without further altercation was a relief for Bri. The pressure of living with Erika had been so constant for weeks that she’d almost forgotten what it was like to live without the threat of trouble. Blaser had been nice to her. He’d gone above and beyond what she would have expected from a regular friend. Maybe because Blaser wasn’t a regular friend. If he hadn’t given her a place to stay and a job, she’d have been stuck.
