CHAPTER FOUR
The night’s sleep from which she’d just awoken was probably the best she’d had since last waking up in the building. Being back with Blaser, in proximity to him at least, was comforting… dangerous too. Seven years ago, she was with the man she was going to spend her life with, then he was arrested.
He pled guilty, so no trial, just straight to prison. Waiting for him was a no brainer, so she didn’t think twice about his visitation request and liked that he wanted to see her.
Letters were exchanged after he broke up with her, but he refused to see her again. Then the letters stopped, so she tried to call, again nothing. Eventually accepting that he didn’t want her anymore, she moved to get a clean break. Away from him; away from Gary.
