Chapter Six
STERLING
I’d forgotten how uncomfortable this was. How the contractions hurt, even sometimes the earlier ones. But I knew I had to keep on for a while, I had to be sure that this wasn’t going to take all day before something actually happened.
But when Wilder left to get some food for Hailey and Aiden and then pick up Maddy from school before dropping by their place… The contractions kept getting worse, and progressing at a pretty decent rate.
Most of the day I’ve been having hard tummies, but I know that even then it can take a while for anything to really move along. But Wilder hadn’t even been gone ten minutes before things did start to move along a little quicker and while I didn’t want to call him until I really had to, waiting time is over now.
