“I don’t care that this is just a quick ceremony.” Lilly pulls on the tie. “I want you to look good. This will be my only chance to go to your wedding, so I want it all, not just you in jeans and a clean shirt.”
She turns me around to the mirror. “What do you think?”
I look at myself, I look weird in a fancy suit, I’m definitely not used to this. I’ve had suits in the past, but none of them fancy like this. “Too much?”
“No.” Lilly sighs. “Sarah, come in here, please.”
Sarah opens the door. “What now?”
“He thinks it’s too much.” Lilly turns me to Sarah now, and not only do I feel like a dress-up doll, now she’s moving me like one too.
“What? But it looks good.” Sarah walks in. “This looks great. Perfect even.”
