STERLING
I’m not sure what happened between Maddy and Wilder, but they’re both upset, and I’m not sure if I’d even want to know right now. There’s just too much mess in my head.
Going into Logan’s office was a bad idea, but still, I can’t keep avoiding the room forever. And Wilder was right, I’m going to have to face it at some point, preferably with him and not someone else. He makes me feel safe, in all this mess, he makes me feel safe.
“Daddy…” Maddy slides around on my lap.

“When will I have to go back to school?”
