30. Daisy

Daisy I woke up on hard packed dirt with my head pounding painfully. My body felt like I'd been run over by a herd of cattle, and I let out a groan as I tried to sit up. Blinking the blurriness from my eyes, I looked around, trying to assess where I was. There wasn't much to the building. It was a long barn structure open at both ends, the walls lined with cages with heavy iron bars, one of which I was currently sitting in. The only other one that was occupied was the one right next to me where Willow sat with her back resting against the corner of the cage, facing away from me at an angle. “Willow?” I called out softly, hoping I could get her attention without alerting anyone else who may be nearby. Her eyes flickered to me and I saw a flash of relief. “You're awake,” she whispered. “
