“No, Serissa, you still have doubts and doubts lead to resentment,” Van's booming voice greeted me as I stepped out of the elevator on the Alpha floor.
“Donovan, would you please just let me try to explain?” Rizz' voice was pleading, but I could hear her temper underneath. “Of course I have doubts. I don't know what lies in store for us. Neither do you! But I know I want to face whatever comes our way by your side!”
