The alarm was blaring in my ears as I raced down the hall towards Serissa's room. It was pandemonium in the hospital with doctors and nurses rushing around trying to secure doors and guards running to intercept the threat.
Van was standing at Serissa's door on high alert as I rounded the corner. “Is it Alpha Felix?” he growled, his eyes flashing yellow.
“No, I don't think so,” I panted, trying to catch my breath. I'd been on the floor below getting coffee when the S.O.S. call went out from the guards at the front door that they were under attack. “Whoever it is, though, I think they've already made it inside.”
