Donovan I watched her sleeping for a while, smoothing her hair back, and feeling a little overwhelmed by how deep my love for her went. I had to be honest with myself that I had been holding back from her, afraid that I would hurt her. She was stronger than I gave her credit for, though, and now that we shared our mark, I felt like I could finally relax. After a while, my stomach growled, a reminder that I hadn't taken the time to eat in a while. I knew Serissa would be asleep for the rest of the night, and probably most of the next day, so I carefully got out of bed, watching to make sure I didn't disturb her. She barely even moved.
