Jules POV The grease smell never comes out. I've showered twice tonight and I can still smell it in my hair, on my skin, buried in my pores. Mel's Diner clings to everything. "Order up!" Mel shouts from the kitchen. I grab the plates—burger, fries, more fries—and deliver them to table seven. Three guys from campus, already drunk at 11 PM on a Tuesday. "Thanks, sweetheart." One of them winks at me. I force a smile. "Anything else?" "Yeah." Another leans back in his chair. "Aren't you Coach Rowan's daughter?" My stomach drops. "Your food's getting cold." "No, seriously.
