CHAPTER 12 A choice to make… Nova The moment I got home, I ran up the stairs heading straight to my room, slamming the door. I couldn't hide the anger I felt. This was why I didn't act on my impulses, because the one time I chose to, it backfired in my face. Blowing out a harsh breath, I tipped my head back and my eyes caught on the whiskey bottle. In two strides, I grabbed it pouring a healthy amount into my cup, and tipped it down my throat, relishing the burn as it slid down easily. How do I fix this? Surely, there's got to be a way out of this mess…maybe all I have to do is calm down and figure it out.
