My chest felt heavy as I ended the call and a deep silence settled over me. Memories of Nora filled my mind, like a tide—they washed over me. I could imagine her writing in her Diary, her tears streaming down her cheeks as she poured out her emotions the only way she could.
I should've been there for her, a pang of guilt shot through me at the thought and I sighed heavily, my shoulders slumping.
