It's funny how, after the brief argument that we had, I started being the one who avoided Asher.
The next day, he knocked on my door for the longest, asking me to open the door so he could come in.
He had some apology breakfast thingy that he set up for me but I ignored him.
It took half an hour but he finally left. I didn't step out of the bedroom until I was certain that he had left.
Cinching the robe around my waist as I padded towards the kitchen, the setup caught my attention, bringing an involuntary smile to my face.
However, when I remembered who set it up, the smile melted off my face as much.
As much as I wanted to leave the setup untouched, I couldn't help but be drawn to a note resting on the table.
Just a quick peek… I told myself.
