Nodding, I did as Asher asked.
Together, we walked out of the limo, heading straight for the entrance.
There was quite a line outside the door as each person was vying to walk into the building so we had to wait until it got to our return.
“Name?” The guard grunted, staring at a tablet.
Asher spoke up. “Stanley. Asher and Nova Stanley.”
Several tense seconds passed as the guard checked the list, searching for our name.
It was taken so long and just when I was about to crawl into the earth in shame, he boomed out. “Access granted!” The guard presented a slim wristband which he slapped over our wrists before sending us in.
