Three days back and it doesn't even feel like we've been gone.
As usual, Asher went straight for his business deal, and the last time I saw him was over two nights ago, sneaking in late at night to grab some clothes, and before I could blink, he had left once again.
I didn't bother striking up a conversation and neither did he, which created a chasm between us.
It only widened as time went by, and so we reverted to how we were before we got friendly.
To distract myself, I buried myself in paperwork and meetings. It became my system of late…head to work quite early, submerge myself in work, head home tired, exhausted, and unable to think, and I will do it all again the next day.
