“I would prefer for you to cancel the payment until the goods are ready some other time. I hate inconsistencies and you know that-” I caught my tirade short when I saw Xavier storm into my office followed closely by a man I vaguely recognized.
The other person on the other side of the phone kept talking but I was distracted, unable to focus anymore.
“Um, you know what?” I interrupted. “Why don't we cut this conversation short? I promise to ensure that my assistant reaches out to you to complete this deal.”
