I was sitting in my office listening to one of the annoying pack sluts talk about wanting me and giving me a baby when my office phone rings and I jump at it crazy fast to answer it and shut this annoying woman up.
"Hello, Alpha Luke here." I say once I put the phone to my ear and turn away from the slut in my office.
"Luke, get over here. We need to talk." I hear Trent’s voice and I shoot right up, knocking my chair back and making the slut jump. Why is she still here?
"What's wrong? Is Inara okay? Do you need my men?" I shoot question after question at him.
"She's awake but we need to talk in person, not over the phone. Now." And he hangs up the phone.
