CHAPTER 2 : Kael's point of view

As time elasped since the incident that took place years ago , I've made peace with it. My father , the rightful leader of the Ralph Winter pack and ruler of Wonderwood, which is now under my reign , has left me behind to deal with all the troubles for being Alpha King . Fight after fight , I conquer , just like he had taught me . Rogues and other packs know better than to start a fight with me or anyone under my leadership. No wolf dared to challenge my authority , females would do anything to catch my eye . I was Alpha King , the most feared and powerful of all of them .My name was whispered in awe and terror, my presence commanding attention. They all fear my wrath . Yet , despite my dominance , I felt an insatiable void within me. A void that the moon goddess herself had ordained me to fill , but the path to fulfillment remained shrouded in mystery .

What's worse is my dreams were haunted by it . In my visions , I would see a white wolf . A creature of legend that had not been seen in five centuries , leading me into the forest. Something about its ethereal eyes beckoning me to follow it without question. Once we reached the middle of the forest , it would bark and vanish into thin air . Could this mean something? Memories of those dreams lingered. Leaving me with an unsettling sense of longing .

" Why are you seated there day dreaming, we have a pack meeting at the pack house in a couple of hours , Alpha. " Caden startled me , his voice breaking my reverie. I turned to face him . " Caden , you are my beta . I am sure you can handle such small meetings. I have somewhere to be " , I said as I stood up from my chair . " Off to f**k someone Alpha? " .

Caden has always been that one person who doesn't shy away from telling me the truth. He tells me things that I would not appreciate hearing from anyone else . Before I got used to him , my wolf wanted to tear him apart for the things he said . Eventually , I realized he meant well . He keeps me astray . He is the only one who manages to get under my skin and get away with it . " There is no need to mind link me Caden , I already knew that's what you were thinking. And no , well ... not necessarily. I am just heading to the Witch's Pub . Apparently there's this witch stripper who has been driving every male in Wonderwood crazy . I want to check her out " , I winked at him . " Judging by the smirk on your face , I am guessing you are gonna try to get into her panties? ". I smiled , picked up my jacket and my car keys and left the room. " Of course , Kael the savior of all women..... " I could hear him sarcastically saying as I left the room .

I drove to the Witch's Pub. Entered just in time to see the famous stripper perform . The Pub announcer , introduced her as Sassy Paws. What a weirdly sexy stage name , I thought to myself as I sipped on my whiskey and watched her perform . When she was done , I was left wanting more . I was utterly captivated by those sexy moves. The way she swayed her hips side to side , dancing on that pole like no one was watching , moving to the beat of the music. I was absolutely taken away by her . The fact that every male in the Pub was clapping and cheering for her did not make me feel good . I wanted her all to myself.

I told one of the waiters that would like to speak to the owner , Kylie. Kylie came as soon as she heard it was me . " Hey handsome . Haven't seen you in a while " , she said in excitement . " Missed me ? " , I replied smirking. She started touching my chest in a seductive way . " You know I did . So to what do I owe this pleasure? " . "I didn't come here for you ", I took a short pause and took another sip on my drink . " The girl , Sassy Paws...She's good " . " Of course, you know I always have the best girls .... But no one is as good as me , you know that ", she whispered the last part into my ear. I smiled at her . " Well , I would like a private dance from her . Can you arrange that ? " , she laughed a little . " No , player. She doesn't do private shows " . " Mmhh , funny. I don't care . Get me a private show with her , tonight . That's if you still want our little thing to remain a secret from your mate " . " Alpha Kael , threatening me ? You want her that bad ? " . I gave her a serious look and she shrugged. " Fine , I will get her for you." . " One more thing , don't tell her who I am ." . She just looked at me and told one of her waiters to direct me to the backroom.
