Zoey’e POV He wasn’t supposed to care…but he did. When I got home, everything felt too quiet. It took a moment for my mind to catch up; just a few hours ago, I was surrounded by flashing lights, voices calling my name, people watching every step I took, as if it mattered. Now it was just my apartment again, and I stood by the door for a few seconds before moving, as if I needed to remind myself where I was. “Okay” I murmured, my voice sounded strange in the silence.
