I rubbed my eyes and moaned groggily as I heard a loud knock on the apartment door. As I dragged myself out of bed, I looked at the time and had to do a double take. It was two in the morning! I couldn't stop myself from letting out an irritated growl as the unwanted visitor knocked again and I didn't even bother trying to fix my bed head before getting ready to open the door. I quickly checked that the swing guard on the door was on and pulled the door ajar.
"Took you long enough."
I slammed the door shut and fumbled as I tried to undo the swing guard I had made sure was on. My lips pursed in frustration as my fingers failed me but after a few moments, I managed to get everything undone and open the door.
