AMONG all the Castillons, I am the least favorite. Kuya Seve is my Nanay's favorite, and Soledad is my Tatay's favorite. I'm the middle child, technically because I'm older than Soledad, even if we're twins. I always feel that no matter what I do, I'm always the least. I'm no one's favorite. I'm no one's favorite friend. I'm no one's favorite daughter. I'm no one's favorite sister. I'm no one's favorite niece.
And because I'm no one's favorite I need to be pretty. I need to be intelligent. I need to be nice. I need to be classy. I need to be tough. I need to excel at everything I do for me to fit in.
