I held the pregnancy test trip with trembling fingers as I saw the two bold pink lines on it indicating that I was pregnant. “OMG! Lina, you're pregnant. It's positive!” She screamed out.

I quickly placed a palm over her mouth, preventing another person from hearing our conversation. “Shhh, don't let anyone hear you” I said to Riley as she was overly excited.

“I'm so sorry, Lina. But you're pregnant, the alpha has to know about it” she said quickly.

I turned to her, smiling. Knowing fully well how hurt I was and how frightened I felt, thinking about confronting Rueben about the pregnancy. I haven't seen him for two days, it's been three days since he denied me that night, three days of hard labor according to his punishment.

I never gave up. I tried to find out when he'd come back to the pack. According to his bodyguards, he'll be back tonight. I felt a little bit confused about telling him about my pregnancy.

“You have to tell him!” Riley said…

“Riley, I don't think that he'd accept this baby. He already ignored me that day. Isn't it obvious that I'm not in his league. He doesn't want me and that's it. I do not think that he wants my baby either” I explained, knowing how I feel in my heart. I love Rueben so much, but he broke me that day when he denied me in front of everyone.

I've been so scared ever since to even try to contact him.

“What if he's having a hard time, Lina. Don't you think that this good news might just bring him some sort of happiness? Maybe he'd fulfill his plans to claim and make you his Luna? You're his mate after all” she said..

I glanced at my phone as the screen lit up. I read the text messages immediately

“Meet me under the oak tree at the bridge” I read out so Riley could hear.

“Is it him?” She asked me and I nodded

“You should go and meet him. Now's the perfect time to tell him about the pregnancy.”

“What if?” I asked, she wouldn't let me finish.

“There's no ifs. Get dressed now and go meet your man!” Riley urged.

She helped me pick up a beautiful floral dress and did my hair. In the next twenty minutes I'd be off to see Alpha Rueben and tell him that I was pregnant with his child.. A certain feeling inside me boiled up with excitement. I couldn't wait to see how happy he'd be about it.

I left the pack house five minutes later, hoping to get there early. It was a bit far, since I was trekking all the way there. The oak tree was somewhere near the villa's garden. The pack’s villa is very huge.

It was the same place I'd met Rueben when I was a child, before my father's death. Then, he was just a young boy training to be Alpha. I've loved Rueben for eight years, three years secretly, before the whole incident that made me his beneficiary happened.

I finally reached the oak tree and I saw Rueben standing near the pond. He was facing the flower garden, feeding his eyes with the scenario of birds playing and the sun settling.

I know with this that he missed me. I taught him to watch the sun when he's stressed..

I moved closer to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him tightly to myself. “Rueben, I've missed you” I said in excitement.

He didn't respond for a while and when he finally did, he grabbed my fingers and unlocked my grip on his waist. Turning his face at me.

I stared into his icy cold eyes which he'd just developed. Rueben used to stare at me with love and warmth. But now, it's all gone cold and sore.

“Rueben, is there anything wrong?” I asked him.

“Call me Alpha” he quickly corrected me and I was drawn aback. Is he planning on putting on the same act he did the other day? I asked in my thoughts as I watched him.

I took a step back as I spoke to him.

“I'm so sorry, Alpha” I vowed slightly, letting the knot in my stomach form. I felt a Sharp pain in my chest even before I could utter another word.

“This pain…” I muttered, gazing at him.

“A- Alpha..” I stuttered…

“Do you know why I asked you to come here, Lina?” He asked me. I shook my head because I wasn't aware at all. All I knew was that I felt so much pain in my heart and I wanted it to stop. I prayed it wouldn't make me lose my child.

“I'm sorry Lina but I have to do this.” He said calmly, facing me directly without any flinching..

“An Omega like you is unfit to be the Luna of BLACK MOON pack. I hope you're aware of that, Lina?” He asked me. I nodded immediately.

I already knew my place as Omega, an ordinary beta's daughter and an orphan. I wasn't expecting any position more than that. Unless the moon goddess didn't make him my fated mate.

“I, Alpha Rueben Tucker of the Black moon pack, Reject you, Lina Frederick, as my mate. I sever all bonds with you…”

“Argh..” the pain struck me in my chest again this time but even more painful. I fell down to my knees as tears filled my eyes. Realizing what had just happened to me. I have been rejected by my mate.

I placed my hand on my abdomen as it hurts, vowing to protect my child since his father didn't want us.

My fingers trembled , same as my knees. I looked up at Reuben, with tears filled eyes.

“I, Lina Frederick, accept your rejection.” I said. And at that moment, I was in a depth of regret.

My stomach started to hurt even more, and I screamed.

Reuben was a bit confused by my actions, he thought that I'd exaggerated my pain.

“Quit pretending, Lina. I'd be choosing my Luna tomorrow, I do not want to see you around the venue. Leave the pack if you must, but do not let me set my eyes on you” he declared cruelly before leaving.

I laid my back down on the cold ground, facing the oak tree.

“Please, help me” I said in a low tone, unable to hold the pain anymore before dizziness swept me.
