MY MATE!! YOUR WHAT??

1312 Words
NOAH'S POV Dad sent me to this party to meet the future alpha of the Crescent Moon pack, but I honestly just feel Closter phobic around all of these strangers. Yet, I had to go alone. Father would not even permit my younger sister, Isa, to accompany me. Jeez, could he not choose a more low-key event for me to attend, I thought to myself as I made my way towards the tree line. Hmmm, no one should notice that I am gone and Noshi is starting to feel uneasy as well. Once I was out of sight, I stripped down, shifted and took off running. He soon came to a clearing where he laid down and admired the silence of the night. Suddenly, he heard a loud scream coming from nearby and jumped to his feet before taking off once again. The closer he got to the sound, the more he smelled wild flowers mixed with fresh rain, but it was nearly masked by the putrid smell of rogues. MATE, Noshi howled, when he saw three brown rogues running with a small girl on the largest one's back. He pushed himself even harder and grabbed a smaller brown wolf from the right and slung him into a nearby tree, rendering him unconscious before turning his attention to the other wolf that had turned and started growling at him. The lunged at him and latched onto his neck. Noah felt as the warm liquid made its way down his fur as Noshi began to punch forward wanting full reign. Noah threw himself onto his side, causing the rogue to yelp and be forced to let go. In one fell swoop he snapped the rogue's neck. When he looked around for the largest, the one with his mate, it was too late. They were gone. Leaving not even the faintest scent. After waiting 4 years to find her, he lost her to rogues. No, he could not accept that. He will not accept this. The unconscious rogue's wolf form had dissolved, leaving a dirty, frail boy. He threw him onto his back and darted towards the pack. He could not mind link anyone to inform them of what had occurred since he was just a visitor on this land, so he could only hope that he wouldn't be too late to save her. Once he finally made it back to the tree line, he shifted and got dressed again before throwing the frail body over his shoulder. He quickly scanned looking for Alpha Anderson, but the party was thinned out with only a small group gathered. He saw Liam addressing them once he got closer. "Liam! There are rogues on your land and they took a girl. I was able to kill one, and capture this one. However, I was unable to apprehend the last one." I said, looking at the ground. "Noah, right? Listen, that girl was my sister. We need to take him to the cells immediately for interrogation." he said, motioning to follow him. I could tell how worried he was and as much as I wanted to freak out about the fact that my mate was gone, I couldn't find the words to say. I felt ashamed that I could not get to her, that I could not save my mate that I had searched for and waited for 4 years. Now, in the blink of an eye, she was gone. I couldn't help the questions that started to cloud my mind. Why? Why could I not save her? I saw Liam's eyes gloss over, so I suppose he was filling in his pack about the new development and the new hostage. When we finally reached their cell block in their basement, we were greeted by four men and Alpha Anderson. After I threw down the rogue and watched as the silver chains were shackled to his wrists and ankles, I turned to the alpha. "Alpha Anderson, I am sorry that I was unable to retrieve your daughter." I stated, looking at the ground and slightly bowing in shame. "Noah, it was not your fault. Without you we wouldn't know that she was still alive, nor would we have him to give us some insight as to why and where she was taken." he said, trying to hide the sadness in his voice. "Sir, she's my mate." I blurted. I could not believe that I had just blurted that out at a time like this. Alpha Anderson stared at me shocked for what felt like an eternity before finally speaking, "My Lilli-Bear is your mate, you say?" I could only nod as I began to contemplate how to get her back. So far all I knew was that the rogues had taken her from near a waterfall, but why? What was their plan? I shook myself from the haze and turned my attention back to the alpha. "Then, I know she will be in good hands once we get her home," he said with full confidence. "Alpha, he is waking up." a man appeared and stated before turning towards the cell. "Alright, Noah, let's get my little girl home." he said as we made our way to the cell. Liam was already there and had the rogue by the throat, asking why they dared to cross into their territory. I stood to the side trying to keep Noshi at bay, because if he took control I could not guarantee he would not rip his head from his body. "Ha, you think I will tell you anything!" he screamed and spit into Liam's face. Liam laughed and tightened his grip on his throat as his claws started to cut into his skin, "Do not play games with me, Rogue. The only way to see the light of day is to answer my questions. What is your name?" "AHHH! T-t-tyler!" he stuttered out in pain. "That's better, Tyler. Now, why did you take my sister?" Liam smirked as he loosened his grip slightly, staring into Tyler's eyes. "I don't know. He took us in when our parents were murdered and raised us as his own. We only know him as a father. My brother and I were only told that we had to have her." Tyler sighed, "He promised no one would be left behind, but he didn't even look back at us.." "Where is he going?" "I am sure he is going back to our den in the mountains on the edge of the Maikoh Tribe. He manipulated us for years into thinking he cared for us, then just threw us away as if we were trash. Some father." Tyler spit with a hint of despair. "That is my territory. How long have you been hiding in our mountains?" I cut in. "We have lived there for as long as I can remember, honestly." Tyler said, falling to his knees. "I cannot speak for Alpha Anderson, but, if he agrees and you successfully help us acquire my mate, I will allow you to join my pack and no longer live the life of a rogue." I spoke while looking around the room. "My sister is your mate?" Liam questioned. "Yes, so it is imperative that we rescue her." I spoke with confidence. " I have no objections as long as she is found safely." Anderson nodded before his eyes were clouded over. Not long after, an omega came in with a medical kit, clean clothes, and food for Tyler. After he was cleaned, changed, and fed, it was time to start planning how to find Lillian and bring her home. Liam was sitting beside me with his future beta, Oscar Garcia, and his future gamma, Ezra Hawks. Alpha Anderson had left to console his wife, Luna Bailey, and to fill her in on where we were considering finding their daughter.
