NATHAN'S POV
I slammed on the brakes, causing the girls to be flung forward, but luckily they were both secured in their seatbelts. Whatever was just in the road is gone now. I could have sworn it was a wolf.
"What the f**k, babe?", Lilly complained, rubbing her forehead.
"Yeah, what the f**k, Nathan?", Emily chimed in, holding the side of her face.
"There was a wolf in the middle of the road. I am certain of it."
We looked around and still saw nothing, but there was a faint familiar smell in the air. I know the smell, but I can't put my finger quite on it. I only know that it is a scent from my pack, so I know that we are safe to continue ahead. Once we were starting down the dark road once again, it appeared.
