Abby returned to the kitchen to help James finish preparing dinner, she thought she had fixed her face and her husband wouldn't notice the troubles she had just gone through but James could sense her sudden change of mood so he asked, "What happened? Did Glenda say something that has upset you?"
Abby shook her head silently, then faced her husband with the same smile she always put on whenever she wanted to make him believe that she was fine. "She gave me a gift to thank me for the help but I don't know if I should open it." Abby said, after James seemed not easily convinced by her smile.
