Gale’s POV
I slept well last night. As well as expected in a sleeping bag, on the ground, near a strange territory. I would still be asleep if he hadn't been making so much noise this morning. Why is he back, anyway? Surely, he should be with his mate? He shouted something. “What?” I eventually yelled. Kicking myself out of my bag. He had better have made some water for the coffee.
I looked over and saw his smug-looking face. Oh goddess, he is smitten. Then he tells me that Hayden eventually found her, their mate. They ran through the woods, played, and mated like crazy. “Ah Gale, she’s amazing.” He told me “The most stunning she-wolf I have ever seen.”
“If she is so amazing, why aren’t you with her now instead of bothering me?” I asked him, annoyed by his cheeriness.
