Emma's POV
"So what's the plan for today guys?" Liam asks once Amber starts drinking her coffee and it's safe to talk again.
"I'm off today, so I'm up for anything, but my car is in the shop." I answer him, cuddling closer into Noah beside me. "How are you feeling today?"
"So much better! Thanks to my best girl here for taking care of me." he pecks Amber softly on her lips and a blush rises in her cheeks.
"Anything for you sexy man." she smirks at him and leans in kissing him passionately, quickly turning it into a makeup session.
"Okay you two, that's enough! Your audience would like to keep down their breakfast." Noah jokes as Liam and Amber pull apart, out of breath and laughing lightly. The two straighten themselves out and Amber finishes her coffee, getting up from Liam's lap and going to the kitchen to wash her cup.
"Why don't we go see a movie and then try that new barbecue place across town? I've heard some pretty good things on it." Amber shouts from the kitchen. Noah, Liam, and I discuss it among ourselves before deciding.
"Sounds good to us!" I shout back as Amber makes her way back into the living room. "Noah and I will wait for y'all to get ready and then we'll go, but no funny business! These walls are thin and we heard enough to last a lifetime last night."
"Like you have room to talk!" Liam jumps in. "We could hear you 2 freaks all morning!" he makes a face of disgust at Noah and I.
"Hey now, don't be jealous of what I got." Noah throws back at Liam and then grabs my face, capturing my lips in a rough, yet passionate kiss. He pulls away after a second, smirking at my shocked expression and then turning his smirking face to Liam.
"Gross!" Liam jumps from the couch pretending to be sick, composing himself a moment later. "I ain't jealous of nothing, because I've got this s*x addict to please me every night." he grabs Amber up, wrapping her legs around his waist and turning to walk to her bedroom. "We'll be back soon. Enjoy the music while we are away." his laughter filling the room as he kicks the bedroom door shut behind them.
"I think I'm going to get myself a cup of coffee and go enjoy it on the porch where it's quiet. Care to join me?" I laugh and stand from the couch, reaching my hand out for Noah's. Taking my hand, he stands and follows me to the kitchen where we pour ourselves coffee and then head out the front door to the porch just as Amber's moans begin to fill the apartment. A slight morning breeze cools us from the heat and humidity already setting in for the day as we both sip on our coffee quietly. The sounds of passing cars and birds chirping in the trees, fills the silence between us and it's very peaceful. Noah and I stay like this for about 30 minutes, before a suddenly, very chipper Amber steps out the door, Liam shadowing her.
"We're ready whenever y'all are." she smiles at us, before turning to Liam and walking back into the house. Noah and I follow behind and I take our now empty cups to the kitchen and wash them out quickly and then join everyone in the living room.
"Okay, let's go." I say, grabbing my bag from the hook on the wall and going to the front door. Noah, Liam, and Amber follow behind and we head out, locking the door behind us, to Noah's car. "Movies first and then lunch, right?" I ask Amber.
"Yes ma'am! We want to see that new zombie thriller that just came out. Is that okay with y'all?" she asks as we all pile into Noah's little car. I exchange a look with Noah before answering her.
"Sure. That's fine with us. We'll buy the snacks, if y'all pay for the tickets?"
"Hell yea! I didn't get breakfast and Amber here, worked me out hard this morning, so I'm starving!" Liam says excitedly from the back seat. I groan, realizing what I just signed myself for. Good thing my dad's a multi-millionaire, so I don't worry too much about money, but I also know that Liam can eat a million dollars worth of theater food. "Hey, it was your idea, so you can't get mad." he says acknowledging my groan. I laugh and roll my eyes, turning my attention to the radio and blasting the country radio station and we all begin to sing and dance in our seats as Noah drives us to the movie theater.
Getting to the theater, Amber and Liam go off to buy tickets while Noah and I head over to the concessions to start buying the snacks. Halfway through our order, Liam and Amber join us and Liam starts rattling off his long list of snacks. Thankfully it is early and we seem to be the only people there because it took all 4 of the employees to get everything Liam ordered together and too us. Each of us is loaded down with snacks and drinks and we make our way to the theater where the zombie movie is playing. Picking a section of seats in the middle of the room, we all take a seat, spreading the snacks out on the little tables in front of us. The lights go down in the room and the previews start just as 2 dark figures enter the theater and climb to the top of the chairs and take a seat somewhere behind us. I quickly realize that the two figures are body guards of my dad's and I am instantly thankful that no one else seemed to notice them come in. We all sit and watch the movie, laughing most of the time at how unrealistic most of the special effects are and listening to Liam make as much noise as humanly possible while eating his snacks. After almost two hours, the movie finally ends and we all stand, stretching and gathering our trash. We make our way to the exit doors and shove everything into the closest garbage can and then Amber and I make a mad dash for the bathroom, Noah and Liam letting us know they will wait outside for us.
"Did you see those two creepy guys that came in the theater after us?" Amber asks once we are in the bathroom and she checks that we are alone.
"I'm not sure. I thought I saw someone come in, but I thought it was just an employee or something." I try to make my voice sound confused.
"I thought so to, but then they went and sat up behind us and I could feel them watching us the whole time. It was really weird." she heads into a stall and quickly uses the restroom, coming out and washing her hands.
"I really didn't notice." I shrug, trying to act as if it's no big deal. "We've got the guys with us though, so I'm really not worried and I didn't see them when we were leaving."
"I guess you're right." she says, not sounding convinced, but agreeing anyways. "Let's go before the guys think we fell in." she laughs lightly and we turn and leave the bathroom. Just like they said they would be, Noah and Liam were standing outside the bathroom taking bets on who could eat the most at lunch. Amber and I roll our eyes, laughing and walk right past them to the exit doors. They quickly follow behind and we all head to the car, climbing in, again with Noah driving, and head to the restaurant for lunch. Traffic is minimal since it is still kind of early for a lunch rush, so we make it to the restaurant in no time at all and then get a table right away. Sitting down at a booth, Noah and I slide in one side and Amber and Liam slide in the other, the waitress immediately taking our drink orders. We look over the menu and as soon as she gets back with our drinks, we order our food. Talking and laughing while we wait, I notice Amber's eyes suddenly get as big as her face and she loses all color.
"What's wrong, Amber? You look like you saw a ghost." I ask immediately and Liam and Noah turn their attention to her as well, trying to figure out what's going on.
"Emma, look!" she gasps as she points to the side of us to a table tucked back in the far corner of the restaurant. "It's the same guys from the theater!" shock and fear clear in her hushed voice. I turn and look in the direction of her horror, Liam and Noah doing the same, even more confused than before.
"Oh, them?" I laugh lightly. "I didn't even notice. Those are just a couple of my dad's body guards." I shrug and turn back to the table, focusing on my ice tea, as if the sweat droplets on the side of the glass were suddenly very interesting.
"And they are following and creeping on us why?!" she asks exasperated, frustration quickly taking over her features, replacing the fear that was there before. The guys exchange a confused look between themselves before turning their attention back to us.
"I told my dad about this customer at work that has been harassing me and he over reacted like always and has had those two guys following me ever since." I quickly lie, feeling 3 sets of eyes studying my face intently.
"Why didn't you tell me anything?" Noah asks, obviously hurt that I didn't confide in him with this issue.
"And why the hell didn't you warn us that we would have company all day?" Amber throws in before I can answer Noah's question. Turning her eyes to Liam and Noah, she quickly fills them in. "I saw those two guys at the movie theater and said something to Emma about them when we were in the bathroom and she said she didn't see them, but not to worry about anything because we had y'all with us. But now they are here and I'm kind of freaking out."
"It's totally okay y'all." I promise, making brief eye contact with each of them. "Amber, I really didn't see them at the theater, but they really are only here because of my dad. He is crazy overprotective and you all should know that by now. And Noah, I didn't tell you anything because it wasn't a big deal. I told my manager and we had a no trespassing placed on the guy and that's the end of it. I made the mistake of telling my dad about it when he asked how work was and he panicked and said he was having his best guys watch out for me for a few days. I promise though, it's really no big deal. They'll keep their distance, just know they are near by. I mean, honestly guys, we've been friends long enough y'all should expect nothing less from my dad." I laugh to lighten the mood and thankfully the waitress walks over with our food and we are all immediately distracted with the amazing smell of barbecue consuming all of our senses. We eat in silence, enjoying our food and when we finish, I pay the tab and we head out all agreeing that we should find something else fun to do since there is still so much time left in the day. We end up going to play mini golf and then head over to an arcade where we hang out till we are all hungry again and decide to order pizza and head home to eat, having spent our entire day out and about, laughing and having a blast together.
