Chapter 5 “Would you like coffee?” Ty closed the front door and gestured towards Lucas’ kitchen. “I think there are some cookies if you’re still hungry.” “Coffee would be nice.” Evan tried to calm his thumping heart. It wasn’t as if Ty was just going to leap on Evan and have his way. He could always say no. Ty flipped on a burner and set the kettle atop the reddening circle. “I’m glad Lucas has a French press, too. Fresh ground is the only way to go.” Evan pulled out a couple of mugs and a bag of Oreos Lucas kept stashed for emergencies. “Remind me to replace this before he comes home,” he said, peeling open the package.
