Chapter 10 Evan knew everybody in the restaurant was looking at the crazy man bawling his eyes out at the corner table, but he couldn’t seem to stop. Not only was he losing his lover, but now his best friend was abandoning him as well. It was all he could do to keep his tears silent and not sob like a drama queen. “Hold on there.” Ty’s deep voice sounded in Evan’s ear. He’d pulled his chair around to Evan’s side of the table and thrown an arm over Evan’s shoulder. That did it—Evan leaned into the embrace and let out a sob. He tried to be quiet about it, but Ty pulled him closer and started rubbing his back and he just lost it. Dimly, Evan was aware of a horrified waiter hovering, offering water, extra napkins, a glass of whiskey. Eventually, the man crept away and Evan cried himself out
