Alex POV
Morning sunlight spilled across Alex’s bed, warm and soft, but it did nothing to soothe the soreness tightening every muscle in her body. She breathed through it, stretching carefully until a sharp ache shot through her shoulders.
Training was working.
And today felt important—she could feel it thrumming beneath her skin.
After a quick shower, she tugged on her training gear and stepped into the hallway where Riley and Mason waited. Riley looked tired but determined. Mason’s presence felt steady, grounding, like always.
“You ready for round two?” Riley asked with a breathless smile.
Alex exhaled. “Let’s survive it first.”
When they entered the training room, David and Queen Luna Beatrice were already there, their expressions unreadable but full of expectation.
