“You did what?”
I rolled my eyes at Grace.
“How many times must I repeat myself?”
“As much as it takes for it to sink into my brain.”
“Well, then, we are going to be here for eternity.”
I laughed at her sour expression.
“Do not joke, Aria. This is serious. You kissed Damien Blackwell.”
“He is my boyfriend, isn’t he?”
She lowered her voice. “Yes, but it is much more complicated than that, and you know it.”
She smacked my arm.
“Hey. What was that for?”
“You deserved it. We agreed that you weren’t going to fall for him.”
“Who said anything about falling for him, Grace? Calm down.”
It was her turn to roll her eyes. “Oh, you should have told me before agreeing to anything.”
