ARIA’S POV “Aria, you cannot go out into the rain like that. Are you crazy?” I stared out the window at the rain beating down on the glass. The storm had come out of nowhere, and it was already sweeping the streets of cars and people and every bad energy the universe seemed determined to throw her way. I closed my eyes, taking in silent, deep breaths. Romeo used to play with me in the rain before his deployment. I could still hear his laughter as he splashed into a puddle like a little kid, soaking me up to my knees.
